What is tpDesCbcSha?

A read-write switch enabling or disabling the DES-CBC-SHA cipher suite for the device's HTTPS/SSL service. Since single-DES is a weak, outdated encryption algorithm, admins usually disable this cipher to prevent it from being negotiated for management sessions. Setting tpDesCbcSha to disable(0) ensures HTTPS clients cannot fall back to this weak cipher when connecting to the device's web UI.
