Description: Select Security Type for the port. 0. disable: Select this option to disable the IPv6 Source Guard feature for the port. 1. SIPv6: Only the packets with its source IPv6 address and port number matched to the IPv6-MAC binding rules can be processed. 2. SIPv6+MAC: Only the packets with its source IPv6 address, source MAC address and port number matched to the IPv6-MAC binding rules can be processed.

What is tpIpv6SourceGuardConfigType?

This object selects the IPv6 Source Guard enforcement mode for a port, either disabled or an SIPv6-plus-MAC mode that only allows traffic through when its source IPv6 address, source MAC address, and ingress port all match an entry in the device's IPv6-MAC binding table. An admin enables sipv6-mac(2) on access ports carrying IPv6 traffic to block address or MAC spoofing, and disables it on trusted ports where enforcement is not needed. For example, setting tpIpv6SourceGuardConfigType to sipv6-mac(2) on a client-facing port would silently drop traffic from a host spoofing another device's IPv6 address.
