What is dhcpRelayExistedOption82Field?
This field controls how the switch handles a DHCP packet that already contains an Option 82 field before relaying it. Admins choose replace when they want the switch's own identifying information to take precedence over any pre-existing field, or drop to strip untrusted Option 82 data from downstream devices. For example, setting dhcpRelayExistedOption82Field to drop(2) removes any Option 82 field a downstream switch or client already added before the packet is relayed onward.
