ddmBiasCurThresholdHighAlarm

Module: TPLINK-DDMBIASCURTHRESHOLD-MIB

OID (symbolic): TPLINK-DDMBIASCURTHRESHOLD-MIB::ddmBiasCurThresholdHighAlarm

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.96.1.4.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the highest threshold for the alarm.

What is ddmBiasCurThresholdHighAlarm?

This read-write string sets the upper alarm threshold for the transceiver's laser bias current, the point above which the optical module's Digital Diagnostics Monitoring raises a high-alarm condition. Network admins tune this value to detect an SFP module whose laser is drawing abnormally high bias current, often an early sign of transceiver degradation or impending failure. For instance, an admin might set this threshold to "10.5" so that if the installed SFP's bias current climbs past that level, the switch flags a bias-current high alarm for that port.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.96.1.4.1.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-DDMBIASCURTHRESHOLD-MIB::ddmBiasCurThresholdHighAlarm

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.96.1.4.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-DDMBIASCURTHRESHOLD-MIB::ddmBiasCurThresholdHighAlarm.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.96.1.4.1.1.2.1 s <value>
