tpStormControlMultiCastRateMode

Module: TPLINK-BANDWIDTH-MIB

OID (symbolic): TPLINK-BANDWIDTH-MIB::tpStormControlMultiCastRateMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.23.1.2.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Multicast rate mode configuration. Configure kbps & ratio with the 'tpStormControlEnablePPS' setting to disable. Configure pps with the 'tpStormControlEnablePPS' setting to enable.

What is tpStormControlMultiCastRateMode?

This read-write value selects the unit used for the port's multicast storm-control threshold: kbps(0), ratio(1) as a percentage of bandwidth, or pps(2) packets per second, mirroring the broadcast rate mode setting. It must be coordinated with tpStormControlEnablePPS, since kbps and ratio(1) require PPS mode disabled while pps(2) requires it enabled. For example, an admin troubleshooting excessive multicast flooding might set this to kbps(0) to cap multicast traffic at a fixed rate like 500 kbps via tpStormControlMultiCastRate.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.23.1.2.2.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-BANDWIDTH-MIB::tpStormControlMultiCastRateMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.23.1.2.2.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> TPLINK-BANDWIDTH-MIB::tpStormControlMultiCastRateMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.23.1.2.2.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> tpStormControlMultiCastRateMode.1
