tpStormControlBroadCastRateMode

Module: TPLINK-BANDWIDTH-MIB

OID (symbolic): TPLINK-BANDWIDTH-MIB::tpStormControlBroadCastRateMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11863.6.23.1.2.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Broadcast rate mode configuration. Configure kbps & ratio with the 'tpStormControlEnablePPS' setting to disable. Configure pps with the 'tpStormControlEnablePPS' setting to enable.

What is tpStormControlBroadCastRateMode?

This read-write value selects the unit used for the port's broadcast storm-control threshold: kbps(0), ratio(1) as a percentage of link bandwidth, or pps(2) packets per second. The kbps and ratio(1) options only take effect when tpStormControlEnablePPS is disabled on that port, while pps(2) requires it to be enabled, so an admin must coordinate the two settings. For example, setting this to ratio(1) lets the admin cap broadcast traffic as a percentage of the port's total bandwidth rather than an absolute rate.
