What is hipSerial?
This read-only 14-byte value reports the unique serial number of the Helios-IP device. An admin reads it to uniquely identify a specific physical unit, useful for asset tracking, warranty claims, or vendor support tickets. For example, an admin opening a support case for a malfunctioning unit would provide this serial number to the vendor to identify the exact device.
