headerCompressionContextDepth

Module: SIAE-HC-MIB

OID (symbolic): SIAE-HC-MIB::headerCompressionContextDepth

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.3373.1103.79.2.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-create

Description: This object is used to set context depth of the specified instance of header compression.

What is headerCompressionContextDepth?

This INTEGER enumeration sets the context depth for a header compression instance, choosing among ctx16bytes(1), ctx32bytes(2), ctx64byets(3), or ctx128bytes(4). Admins tune this to control how much per-flow compression context state the equipment maintains, trading memory usage against the number of concurrently compressible flows. For example, selecting ctx128bytes(4) allows the compression engine to track a larger compression context per session on a busy link.
