s5EnRedPortTxMode

Module: S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB

OID (symbolic): S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB::s5EnRedPortTxMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The Transmit Fiber Mode, which determines the port transmit idle. The values are: autoCfg(1)...The port will auto configure based upon the received idle. fl(2)........The port is configured in FL mode. fb(3)........The port is configured in FB mode. other(4).....None of the above. The port is not a fiber port.

The value other(4) is read-only.

What is s5EnRedPortTxMode?

This read-write object sets the fiber port's transmit idle signaling mode: autoCfg lets the port auto-configure based on what it receives, fl forces 10BASE-FL mode, and fb forces 10BASE-FB synchronous mode, while other is a read-only indicator that the port isn't a fiber port at all. An admin sets this explicitly when auto-configuration doesn't correctly match the redundant partner's signaling, rather than relying on autoCfg. Attempting to write other would be rejected since that value only reflects a non-fiber port and cannot be configured.
