s5EnRedPortSwitchoverStatus
Module: S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB
OID (symbolic): S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB::s5EnRedPortSwitchoverStatus
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.13
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The switchover status of the port (and its companion). The following values can be written: timedSwitchover(2)...cause a timed switchover (see value of s5EnRedPortSwitchoverTime)
The following values reflect the switchover status of the redundant port pair: other(1)..............not undergoing switchover timedSwitchover(2)....port is undergoing timed switchover (see value of s5EnRedPortSwitchoverTime).
On GETs with switchover status of timedSwitchover(2), if the time remaining before the completion of the switchover and reversal is available, it will be reported in object s5EnRedPortSwitchoverTime as a positive value If not available, the value of s5EnRedSwitchoverTime will be zero. When changing a port to timedSwitchover(2), the SET request must also contain the value for object s5EnRedSwitchoverTime.
What is s5EnRedPortSwitchoverStatus?
This read-write object reports and controls whether a redundant port pair is undergoing a timed switchover: other means no timed switchover is in progress, and timedSwitchover means one is underway or being requested, with the duration given by s5EnRedPortSwitchoverTime. An admin writes timedSwitchover, together with a value for s5EnRedPortSwitchoverTime in the same SET, to force a temporary role swap of the active and standby ports that automatically reverses after the timer expires. This is useful for testing failover behavior without a permanent manual switchover.
