s5EnRedPortCompanionPortNum
Module: S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB
OID (symbolic): S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB::s5EnRedPortCompanionPortNum
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.12
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The index of the other port in the redundant pair.
If the port (whose slot-port identity is given by the instance) is hardware-redundant capable, this object has the value of the port number of the (potential) redundant companion, even if the port is in standalone mode. This allows the network manager to determine the identity of the potential companion, which is fixed by the hardware of the board.
Changing this object is permitted only when creating a software-redundant pair.
What is s5EnRedPortCompanionPortNum?
This read-write object identifies the port number of this port's redundant companion on the board given by s5EnRedPortCompanionBrdNum. Like its companion-board counterpart, it's fixed by hardware for hardware-redundant-capable ports (visible even before a pair is configured) but is writable specifically when creating a software-redundant pair. An admin creating a new pair sets both this and s5EnRedPortCompanionBrdNum, along with s5EnRedPortRedundMode, in the same SNMP request.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.12 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB::s5EnRedPortCompanionPortNum
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.12.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB::s5EnRedPortCompanionPortNum.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.12.1 i <value>
