s5EnRedPortCompanionBrdNum
Module: S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB
OID (symbolic): S5-ETH-REDUNDANT-LINKS-MIB::s5EnRedPortCompanionBrdNum
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.1.6.6.1.2.1.1.11
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: The index of the slot containing the board of the other port in the redundant pair.
If the port (whose slot-port identity is given by the instance) is hardware-redundant capable, this object has the value of the slot number of the (potential) redundant companion, even if the port is in standalone mode. This allows the network manager to determine the identity of the potential companion, which is fixed by the hardware of the board.
Changing this object is permitted only when creating a software-redundant pair.
What is s5EnRedPortCompanionBrdNum?
This read-write object identifies the slot number of the board holding this port's redundant companion, whether that companion is only a potential hardware-fixed pairing or an actively configured software pairing. For a hardware-redundant-capable port, this value is fixed by the board's hardware and reported automatically even in standalone mode; it's only writable when setting up a software-redundant pair. For example, a value of 5 identifies the companion port's board as being in slot 5.
