agentPortSecurityMACAddressMove

Module: PORTSECURITY-PRIVATE-MIB

OID (symbolic): PORTSECURITY-PRIVATE-MIB::agentPortSecurityMACAddressMove

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.7244.2.20.1.2.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: When this object is enabled, all the dynamically locked MAC addresses will be moved to statically locked addresses on a port. GET operation on this object will display disable.

What is agentPortSecurityMACAddressMove?

This read-write object, when set to enable(1), triggers moving all currently dynamically learned MAC addresses on this port into the static allow-list; a GET on this object always returns disable(2) regardless of state. Admins use it as a one-time conversion action to lock in the MAC addresses a port has already learned, converting them from dynamic entries, subject to aging or limits, to permanent static entries. Setting agentPortSecurityMACAddressMove to enable(1) on a port that has already dynamically learned three device MAC addresses would convert all three into statically configured entries.
