Fragment reassembly failures

What is ipv6FragmentReassFailVal?

This counter tracks the number of IPv6 packet fragments that failed to reassemble into complete packets. IPv6 packets can be fragmented by routers or sources when they exceed the path MTU, and the receiving host must reassemble them; failures occur when fragments are missing, corrupted, or arrive after a timeout. An operator monitors this to detect network issues like excessive fragmentation, MTU problems, or potentially malicious fragment-based attacks.
