Shunted bytes (ethertype)

What is ethernetShuntEthertypeBytesMom?

This object measures the volume of traffic (in bytes) that has been redirected or 'shunted' based on the Ethernet frame type (EtherType), and is tracked as a gauge that represents the current rate of shunted traffic. PacketLogic uses shunting to redirect traffic for analysis, filtering, or quality-of-service management. An operator would monitor this to track how much traffic is being diverted by type-based rules and to identify which frame types consume the most bandwidth.
