Description:

Number of slice state structure allocation failures

What is drdlSliceStateFailVal?

This counter tracks the number of times the device failed to allocate memory for a new slice state data structure, which is used for traffic flow tracking and classification. Slice state structure allocation failures indicate memory pressure and can result in inability to track and classify new traffic flows. Operators monitor this counter to detect when the device is running out of memory and should be upgraded or reconfigured.
