What is gateWay?
This object configures the default network gateway IP address used by this OAP Network Management Unit (NMU) for reaching hosts outside its local subnet. Admins set this so the NMU's management traffic, such as SNMP responses or NTP/syslog traffic, can reach a management station or server located on a different network. As an illustrative example, setting gateWay to 192.168.1.1 would let the NMU route management traffic out through that router to reach a remote monitoring station.
