nnRstDot1dStpPortProtocolMigration

Module: NORTEL-NETWORKS-RAPID-SPANNING-TREE-MIB

OID (symbolic): NORTEL-NETWORKS-RAPID-SPANNING-TREE-MIB::nnRstDot1dStpPortProtocolMigration

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.45.5.4.1.1.2.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: When operating in RSTP (version 2) mode, writing TRUE(1) to this object forces this port to transmit RSTP BPDUs. Any other operation on this object has no effect and it always returns FALSE(2) when read.

What is nnRstDot1dStpPortProtocolMigration?

Writing TRUE forces this port to transmit RSTP BPDUs immediately while the bridge is in RSTP mode, which an admin uses to force a port stuck sending legacy STP BPDUs back to RSTP without waiting for the normal migration timer; it always reads back FALSE.
