swIGMPSnpCtrlState
Module: MCAST-SNOOPING-MIB
OID (symbolic): MCAST-SNOOPING-MIB::swIGMPSnpCtrlState
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.73.3.1.1.1.45
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This indicates the IGMP Snooping State of this VLAN.
What is swIGMPSnpCtrlState?
This read-write enable/disable switch turns IGMP snooping on or off for this specific VLAN, as opposed to swIGMPSnoopingGlobalState which is the device-wide master switch. Admins use it to snoop multicast selectively, for example enabling it only on VLANs that actually carry IPTV or video conferencing traffic, and leaving it off elsewhere to avoid unnecessary CPU/table overhead. Disabling it on a VLAN causes that VLAN to fall back to flooding all multicast to every port, a common quick diagnostic step.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.73.3.1.1.1.45.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> MCAST-SNOOPING-MIB::swIGMPSnpCtrlState.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.73.3.1.1.1.45.1 i <value>
