This read-only value reports whether this VLAN's switch is currently acting as querier(1) or non-querier(2) for IGMP snooping, the standard IGMP querier-election outcome. Admins check it to confirm the intended device (usually the multicast router, or this switch if configured as a fallback querier) actually won the election, rather than assuming based on configuration alone. Seeing this switch report querier(1) when a router should be handling that role usually means the router's querier is down or unreachable.
