Description: The number of frames discarded per FR_ICI transmission path in the ingress direction because of user side status signaling invalid fields. The specific status signaling invalid field errors that contributed to the discard of frames are described in Section 5.4.3, R 5-31 of GR-1327-CORE

What is friciSigUserInvalidEvents?

This Counter32 tallies frames discarded on this FR_ICI transmission path in the ingress direction because the user-side status signaling message contained invalid fields, per GR-1327-CORE section 5.4.3. Admins use this to detect malformed LMI/status-signaling messages coming from the user side of the inter-carrier boundary, which can indicate a misconfigured or non-compliant customer-facing device. For example, a rising count here alongside stable link-layer counters would point an admin toward a signaling protocol implementation issue on the user side rather than a physical link fault.
