Module: INTERCARRIER-FR-MIB

OID (symbolic): INTERCARRIER-FR-MIB::friciSigNetInvalidEvents

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.148.1.9.1.1.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Counter32

Access: read-only

Description: The number of frames discarded per FR_ICI transmission path in the ingress direction because of network side status signaling invalid fields. The specific status signaling invalid field errors that contributed to the discard of frames are described in Section 5.4.3, R 5-31 of GR-1327-CORE

What is friciSigNetInvalidEvents?

This Counter32 tallies frames discarded on this FR_ICI transmission path in the ingress direction because the network-side status signaling message contained invalid fields, per GR-1327-CORE section 5.4.3. Admins use it to detect signaling problems originating from the carrier network side of the inter-carrier interface, mirroring friciSigUserInvalidEvents but for the network rather than user side. For example, a rising count here would lead an admin to investigate the peer carrier's network equipment rather than the local customer-facing side of the interface.
