This read-only Counter32 tallies, per its source description, the number of times this station has sent a Second Chance Attention signal to the host. Admins treat a rising SecondChanceAttentions count as a sign the host isn't promptly responding to this station's initial attention signals, forcing a retry mechanism that could eventually lead to a channel disconnect if esconStationAttentionTimeOut is exceeded. For example, a station showing frequent second-chance attentions alongside occasional disconnects would point to a host that's intermittently too slow or busy to service this station's requests promptly.
