hwTimeStampMode
Module: HUAWEI-TIMELOCALIZATION-MIB
OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-TIMELOCALIZATION-MIB::hwTimeStampMode
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.66.2.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: This variable indicates the time stamp mode of management interface. for example, the time stamp in trap and syslog info. The value local means that the time stamp use the local time of the node, The value utc means that the time stamp use the UTC(Universal Time Coordinated) time. The default mode is the local time.
What is hwTimeStampMode?
This read-write INTEGER, with values local(1) and utc(2) and a default of utc, selects whether timestamps in management output such as traps and syslog messages use the device's local time or Coordinated Universal Time. Admins set this to control how log and alert timestamps line up with their monitoring tools, especially when correlating logs from devices in different time zones. For example, setting the value to local(1) makes syslog entries show the site's local wall-clock time instead of UTC.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.66.2.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-TIMELOCALIZATION-MIB::hwTimeStampMode
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.66.2.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-TIMELOCALIZATION-MIB::hwTimeStampMode.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.66.2.1.1 i <value>
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hwTimeStampMode.1
