Module: HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB::hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.10

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the private Ethernet protocol type of the user-side ring check packet. Range: 1536-65535 Default: 33536

What is hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype?

This read-write Unsigned32 value (1536-65535, default 33536) sets the private Ethernet protocol type used for user-side ring check packets when hwRingCheckModeStatus is set to private-ethtype. An admin changes this from the default only if the deployment needs a different Ethertype to avoid conflicting with another protocol on the LAN. Leaving this at its default of 33536 configures ring-check probe packets to use that specific Ethertype for loop detection when private-ethtype mode is active.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.10
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB::hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.10.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB::hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.10.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype.1
