hwRingCheckModeStatus

Module: HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB::hwRingCheckModeStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Set ring check mode. Options: 1. private-bpdu(0) -indicates the ring check mode is private-bpdu 2. private-ethtype(1) -indicates the ring check mode is private-ethtype Default: private-bpdu(0)

What is hwRingCheckModeStatus?

This read-write value selects the mechanism used for ring check detection as private-bpdu(0) or private-ethtype(1), defaulting to private-bpdu(0). An admin switches to private-ethtype mode, and configures hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype accordingly, if the deployment needs ring detection based on a custom Ethernet protocol type instead of a proprietary BPDU format. Setting this to private-ethtype(1) changes how ring-check probe packets are identified, requiring hwRingCheckPrivateEthtype to be set to the specific Ethertype value used.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.9
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB::hwRingCheckModeStatus

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.9.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-RSTP-EXT-MIB::hwRingCheckModeStatus.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.21.1.9.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hwRingCheckModeStatus.1
