hwProtocolDot1pPriority

Module: HUAWEI-IPDSLAM-L3PROTOCOL-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-IPDSLAM-L3PROTOCOL-MIB::hwProtocolDot1pPriority

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.6.125.1.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the VLAN-based 802.1p priority of packet. Range: -1 - 7 The larger the value, the higher the priority. The invalid value -1 is returned when this leaf is not specified. The meaning of each value is as follows: best-effort: Best-effort priority(0) background: Background priority(1) spare: Spare priority(2) excellent-effort: Excellent-effort priority(3) controlled-load: Controlled-load priority(4) video: Video priority(5) voice: Voice priority(6) network-management: Network-management priority(7)

What is hwProtocolDot1pPriority?

This read-write Integer32 (-1..7), defaulting to -1 (not specified), sets a VLAN-based 802.1p priority where higher numbers mean higher priority, following the standard priority names from best-effort(0) up to network-management(7). An admin sets this as a general per-VLAN 802.1p marking, distinct from the protocol-specific priority objects, to classify traffic on that VLAN when no more specific rule applies. Setting it to 6 (voice priority) would mark general traffic on this VLAN for voice-level forwarding priority.
