Description: Vendor who supplied the monitor

What is hpEMSVendor?

This read-only OCTET STRING is a trap varbind that, per its source description, names the vendor who supplied the affected EMS monitor. Admins use this to quickly tell whether a restarted monitor is an HP-supplied resource check or a third-party or custom monitor, which affects who to contact for support. For example, seeing a non-HP vendor name here would direct an admin to that vendor's support channel rather than HP's for a persistently failing monitor.
