hpEMSThresholdType

Module: HP-EMS

OID (symbolic): HP-EMS::hpEMSThresholdType

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.1.7.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Integer representing the threshold type, this is usually the same as resource type. Integer representing the threshold type: 3009 = String 3010 = Sbit32 (signed 32 bit integer) 3011 = Ubit32 (unsigned 32 bit integer) 3012 = Sbit64 (future use) 3013 = Ubit64 (future use) 3014 = Float64 (64 floating point number) 3015 = Enumerated Type 3016 = Error Not applicable if operator is poll or change; or if Resource Type is Error Note: enumerated type is not supported as threshold type.

What is hpEMSThresholdType?

This read-only INTEGER is a trap varbind that, per its source description, encodes the data type of the configured threshold value using the same EMS type codes as hpEMSResourceType (usually matching it), and is not applicable when the operator is poll or change, or when the resource type is Error; note that enumerated type is not supported as a threshold type. Admins use this code to correctly interpret the accompanying hpEMSThresholdValue string for threshold-based alerts. For example, a ThresholdType of 3014 tells a parsing script to read hpEMSThresholdValue as a 64-bit floating point number.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.1.7.1.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HP-EMS::hpEMSThresholdType

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.1.7.1.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HP-EMS::hpEMSThresholdType.1
