What is ponValid?
This value both reports and lets an administrator force the operational state of a PON port, where 1 means the port is operationally down and 2 means it is up. Setting it to 1 can take a PON port out of service for maintenance without physically disconnecting fiber, and setting it back to 2 brings it back into service.
