What is ontReason?

This is meant to report the reason code for the ONT's current offline or abnormal state, such as loss of signal, loss of frame, signal degrade, or an administrative deactivation. The source MIB's own description lists many more reason codes than the object's actual value range supports, with codes up through 672 appearing in the documentation text while the SYNTAX only permits values 1 through 3, so most of the documented reason codes can never actually be returned by this object as currently defined. An administrator should treat only values 1, 2, and 3 as valid in practice and not assume the higher documented codes are reachable.
