This read-only counter tracks how many times this particular trap has actually been transmitted out to configured trap destinations. An admin monitors it to see whether a recurring trap condition is actually reaching the management station, as distinct from trapLogEvents which counts how often the underlying event occurred. For example, a large gap between trapLogEvents and this counter would suggest the device is suppressing transmissions, perhaps due to threshold rate-limiting configured elsewhere in this MIB.
