Description: The port index. The bit 0 to bit 7: port number. The bit 8 to bit 11: slot number (slot for chassis only).
What is snPOSInfoPortNum?
This is the table index identifying a POS (Packet over SONET) port: bits 0-7 encode the port number and bits 8-11 encode the slot number on chassis models. Admins use it to correlate rows in the snPOSInfoTable back to a physical POS interface when scripting per-port polling.
