Module: FLARION-TRAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): FLARION-TRAP-MIB::mcuTempStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.8603.1.1.2.0.122

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description:

MCU temperature status changed.

What is mcuTempStatus?

This deprecated notification is sent when the MCU (Media Control Unit) temperature status changes, providing timestamp, sequence number, severity level, and additional context about the thermal event. It was used to alert operators to potential overheating conditions on the MCU hardware. Although deprecated, legacy systems may still generate this trap when temperature thresholds are crossed.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' FLARION-TRAP-MIB::mcuTempStatus
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.8603.1.1.2.0.122

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:55968->[192.168.30.10]:162]:

  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: FLARION-TRAP-MIB::mcuTempStatus
