What is bootStatusUp?

This is a notification trap sent by the system to indicate that the device has completed startup and is now operational. Network management applications can subscribe to this event to detect when a device recovers from a power cycle or reboot. An operator monitors this to confirm successful device initialization in their SNMP monitoring dashboard.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):
