What is swPortCompression?
This value reports whether data compression is currently active on this Fibre Channel port. Admins monitor it to confirm bandwidth-saving compression is actually running on long-distance or extension links where it was configured, since compression effectiveness affects achievable throughput. A port set up for compression that reports disabled(2) would prompt an admin to investigate why compression negotiation failed.
