What is dxStatsNoTicks?
This gauge reports how many one-second intervals in the last minute had no processing activity on the DSA, and per the MIB it requires stats logging or tracing to be enabled. An admin uses it as an idle-time indicator to help interpret whether low throughput reflects genuine idle periods or a stalled DSA. For example, a high no-ticks value during business hours, with tracing enabled, would be unusual and worth investigating as a possible hang.
