Description: When enabled(1), whenever there's a new MAC address that violates the pre-defined port security configuration, trap will be sent out.
What is swPortSecTrapState?
This read-write switch enables or disables sending an SNMP trap specifically when a new MAC address violates the configured port security settings. Unlike swPortSecTrapLogState, this object controls only the trap notification path, letting an admin get real-time alerts without necessarily also writing to the local log. An admin who wants their NMS alerted immediately on a port-security violation but doesn't care about local logging would set swPortSecTrapState to enabled(1) while leaving logging separately controlled.
