swPortSecSysMaxLernAddr

Module: DLINK-PORT-SECURITY-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINK-PORT-SECURITY-MIB::swPortSecSysMaxLernAddr

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.63.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Indicates the maximum number of addresses to be authorized by port security on the system. A value of -1 means no-limit. The default value is no-limit.

The max entry range is (1..N). The value N means the max number and is determined by the project itself.

What is swPortSecSysMaxLernAddr?

This integer sets the system-wide ceiling on how many MAC addresses port security is allowed to lock in as secure entries across the whole switch. Because the default and a value of -1 both mean no limit, an admin who wants to cap total learned addresses, for example to bound internal table usage, must explicitly set a positive number no greater than the project-defined maximum N. An admin restricting a shared switch to at most 500 total secured addresses would set swPortSecSysMaxLernAddr to 500 rather than leaving it at the no-limit default.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.63.1.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DLINK-PORT-SECURITY-MIB::swPortSecSysMaxLernAddr

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.63.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DLINK-PORT-SECURITY-MIB::swPortSecSysMaxLernAddr.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.12.63.1.2.1 i <value>
