Description: This variable uniquely identifies the group containing the port to which a power Ethernet PSE is connected. Group means box in the stack, module in a rack and the value 1 MUST be used for non-modular devices. Furthermore, the same value MUST be used in this variable, pethMainPseGroupIndex, and pethNotificationControlGroupIndex to refer to a given box in a stack or module in the rack.
What is rlPethPsePortGroupIndex?
This value identifies which physical group, a box in a stack or a module in a rack, with a fixed value of 1 required on non-modular devices, a particular Power-over-Ethernet power-sourcing-equipment port belongs to, and this same group number must be used consistently across several related PoE MIB tables. Administrators reference this alongside the port index when managing PoE power delivery on stackable or modular switches with multiple PoE-capable units. For example, on a 3-unit PoE switch stack, ports on the second physical unit would all share group index 2 in this and related PoE tables.
