rlPortGmrpOverrideGarp

Module: DLINK-3100-GMRP-MIB

OID (symbolic): DLINK-3100-GMRP-MIB::rlPortGmrpOverrideGarp

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.10.94.89.89.75.3.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: EnabledStatus

Access: read-write

Description: If enabled{1}, Gmrp timer values for this port are determined by the values in this entry. Otherwise, they are determined by the values in dot1dPortGarpTable.

What is rlPortGmrpOverrideGarp?

This value, when enabled, makes the port use its own per-port GMRP Join/Leave/LeaveAll timer values from this table instead of the timer values in the standard dot1dPortGarpTable. An admin enables it on a port that needs different GMRP timing than the rest of the bridge, such as a slower or higher-latency link, without changing the shared GARP timers used elsewhere. For example, enabling rlPortGmrpOverrideGarp on a WAN uplink port lets the admin set a longer rlPortGmrpLeaveAllTime there while all other ports keep using dot1dPortGarpTable's values.
