Type: INTEGER
Access: read-write
Description: When the device has become the new root of the Spanning Tree, this object decides whether to send a new root trap.
What is swL2DevAlarmNewRoot?
Controls whether the switch sends an SNMP trap when Spanning Tree elects it as the new STP root bridge. Enabling this gives an admin an alert whenever the topology reshuffles enough to hand root-bridge duties to this switch, which is often a sign of an unplanned topology change or misconfigured priority elsewhere.
