Description: The way multicasts should forwarded on this interface; not forwarded, forwarded as data link multicasts, or forwarded as data link uni- casts. Data link multicasting is not meaning- ful on point to point and NBMA interfaces, and setting ospfMulticastForwarding to 0 effective- ly disables all multicast forwarding.
What is swL3ospfIfMulticastForwarding?
Controls how the switch forwards multicast traffic out this interface at the data-link layer: not at all (blocked), as true multicast frames, or replicated as separate unicast frames per OSPF neighbor. The latter two matter mainly on NBMA/point-to-point media that don't natively support data-link multicast.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.113.9.1.3.8.1.16 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> DES3200-52-L3MGMT-MIB::swL3ospfIfMulticastForwarding
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.113.9.1.3.8.1.16.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> DES3200-52-L3MGMT-MIB::swL3ospfIfMulticastForwarding.1
Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):
snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.171.11.113.9.1.3.8.1.16.1 i <value>
