Module: COM21-HCXTX-MIB

OID (symbolic): COM21-HCXTX-MIB::hcxXmitGain

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.1141.2.21.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Description: Transmit gain is used to specify the power level in the ComController transmitter. Default is 0.

What is hcxXmitGain?

This read-write integer (45-60) specifies the power level of the ComController's RF transmitter on this TX card. An admin adjusts it to compensate for coax attenuation across the plant to distant nodes. For example, an admin raises hcxXmitGain toward 60 to compensate for a longer cable run serving a distant node with weaker signal.
