Description: contains any MAC address (i.e. ComPort MAC Address) associated with the alarm. If there is no associated MAC address then this attribute will be 0.
What is hcxAlmMacAddr?
This read-only MacAddress reports the MAC address of the ComPort cable device associated with the active alarm, or all zeros if no MAC address applies. It lets an administrator immediately identify which subscriber cable modem triggered the alarm without cross-referencing separate tables. For example, seeing a populated MAC here for a signal-loss alarm tells the operator exactly which customer's ComPort to investigate.
