Description: Total count of number of VINES input packets with header errors.
What is cvTotalFormatErrors?
This counter tracks received VINES packets rejected for malformed headers. An admin cares because a climbing count points to a misbehaving VINES peer, corrupted transmission, or a version mismatch on the wire rather than a normal traffic pattern. For example, a spike in this counter right after a firmware upgrade on a neighboring VINES router would suggest incompatible packet framing between the two devices.
