Description: Total count of number of VINES input packets with checksum errors.
What is cvTotalChecksumErrors?
This counter tracks received VINES packets discarded because their checksum didn't match. An admin cares because a climbing count usually points to a noisy or failing physical link rather than a VINES configuration problem, since checksum failures indicate data corruption in transit. For example, replacing a suspect WAN cable and watching this counter stop incrementing would confirm the link, not the router, was the source of corruption.
