What is cvTotalBroadcastForwardPackets?
This counter tracks broadcast packets that arrived on one interface and were relayed out other interfaces. An admin cares because it shows how actively the router propagates VINES broadcasts network-wide, separate from broadcasts it generates itself. For example, this counter staying near zero on a multi-interface router suggests broadcast propagation between segments is being blocked, possibly by the LAN-only or no-charges restriction bits.
