What is cvIfCountInIcpIllegalMessages?
This per-interface counter tracks ICP messages received that failed to conform to the expected ICP message format. An admin cares because these indicate malformed control-plane traffic on that link, potentially from an incompatible or faulty device. For example, a firmware bug on a peer device generating malformed ICP messages would show up as a rising count here.
