Description: VINES protocol count of input packets with format errors.
What is cvIfCountInFormatErrors?
This per-interface counter tracks received VINES packets rejected for malformed headers, isolated to a single interface. An admin cares because, unlike the router-wide format-error counter, this pinpoints exactly which interface is receiving the malformed traffic, narrowing the search for a bad link or misbehaving neighbor. For example, only one interface showing a climbing count while others stay at zero isolates the problem to the specific link or device connected there.
